Year 2 Creative Writer’s Workshop
Booster Program
The ability to think and write creatively will be critical throughout your child’s education. Writing skills can be slower to develop than other literacy skills and that is why it is important to develop skills development from an early age. Our Creative Writers’ Workshop covers a range of vital writing skills and introduces students to the textual demands of a range of writing types.
Course Goals
- Develop creative thinking
- Develop brainstorming and planning skills
- Develop writing skills – to produce more informative, precise and engaging writing
- Develop structural skills in forming paragraphs and longer texts
- Provide additional writing opportunities for students
Course Structure
- 1 hour lessons per week
